It is raised just enough to allow you to slide your personal items underneath and still not be very high off the ground. The legs are 40 In. tall and there is 34 In. of storage space underneath the front rail, enough room to place a large sized footlocker, filing cabinet, mini-refrigerator or dresser underneath. You can also place your less frequently used items such as winter skis, golf clubs or extra clothes underneath freeing up valuable living space in the rest of your room. A safety rail is not required.
The optional Bookshelf includes a separately attached 30 In. tall double bookshelf, which can be placed either on the left or right side of the bed.
The High Riser Bed comes in Twin, Full and Queen sizes. The available lengths are 78 In., 83 In., or 87 In. and is also available with the Desktop option, and that first ladder rung under the desktop makes a great footrest.

The Bed Frame has a weight capacity of 1000 lbs.
